Contra Vision Printing

Contra Vision film comprises of a printable film that contains a series of holes through which light is transmitted. It is printed on one side leaving the rear as a black film. Once placed on the external glazing the image is visible from the outside while creating a tinted effect on the inside.

This desirable effect is why Contra Vision is used as a one way glazing film for internal and external printed effects on glass and glazing. Contra Vision film can be used in a range of situations, including the windows of buses and trams to complete building wraps. It has the advantage that those inside retain their view of the street whilst benefiting from the privacy, shading and reductions in solar heat gain and glare.

These films offer different levels of transparency with different levels of image strength, privacy, and through vision. There is a trade-off between image strength and vision from the other side. 

Contra Vision Films with a ratio of 70/30 are more suited to applications where the image is being viewed form a close distance such as vehicle glazing, while 50/50 is suited to building wraps. Conventional Contra Vision creates effective displays during daylight hours but as light levels fall, the image disappears.

With Contra Vision BACKLIT film we can create night time back-lit illuminated displays for offices, workplaces retail environments and public spaces.
